All platforms are made from 'Natural Acrylic Stone', a dense material well suited to isolation applications. Please see the 'Colours and Materials' section of this web site for the options available.

Further isolation is provided by genuine Sorbothane* hemispheres ('feet'), which are only partially on show, producing a 'low profile', elegant design. Sorbothane* has the benefit of providing vibration isolation, shock absorption and vibration damping of the platform - benefiting the performance of your valuable equipment. This is in contrast to many other 'audio isolation solutions' that may simply offer the ability to reduce one or two of these factors (but not all).

The hemispheres we use come from Sorbothane* in the USA.

The Sorbothane* hemispheres can be provided with 'glides'. These are made of clear polycarbonate and are stuck to the flat side of the hemispheres. They can help with placement and positioning and may also help to protect surfaces. However, not all customers require these so they are optional. If you unsure if you should buy these, please do talk to us to discuss your requirements further.

The hemispheres are selected specifically with the weight of equipment in mind, and positioning points are provided on the underside of the platform to ensure quick and easy placement.

Although any audio components may benefit from the use of an isolation platform, they can be of particular use for source components such as turntables, CD players and valve equipment - any device where external vibration could be an issue and degrade performance.
